Chic Holiday Gift for the Man…It’s Okay to be Square!
Friday, December 2nd, 2011 by Roz PactorLooking for a man’s gift….not as easy as we girls, who have zillions of things that we need and/or want. Here is an idea for something that is back on the Men’s fashion scene that your guy may not have the latest and greatest and that is a POCKET SQUARE. Yes, they’re back and look newest in novelty fabrications, particularly with a button in the corner. Guys are wearing them as a fashion accessory, not limited to the pocket of their Suit or Sportcoat but as an insert into a cool, new sportshirt or even the back pocket of a fun trouser.
Those shown are available at Q Clothier and Rye 51…stop by and pick up at least a couple. Makes for a great stocking stuffer!

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010 by Roz Pactor
During my recent visit to 310 Rosemont, I was elated to find another denim line that I wore and loved a while back. In fact, I must say that they were the first pair of designer jeans that I ever purchased, at Fred Segal in L.A. and then later could be found at Tootsies here… Edwin Jeans! Austin News
Tuesday, January 13th, 2009 by RozDesigner Clearance House….Loeffler Randall for $39?! And clothes too!!
Although I’ve heard of friends who called and visited the (formerly) appointment-only designer shoe clearance house, I was excited to see they have expanded and have a storefront in the old Anthony Nak and Austin Home Collection space on Burnet Road.
Rumor has it all of their clothes come from an exclusive deal with Houston upscale retailer Tootsie’s and are offered at an astounding 75% off of retail price. A recent blogger spotted a stunning red Badgley Mischka strapless dress for a mere $112! After striking a deal with Tootsie’s, Designer Clearance House now offers a permanent home with real store hours: Mon-Fri 10-7, Sat 10-6 & Sun 12-4.
Right now, they’re offering fabulous party dresses from Nicole Miller & BCBG, fun summer shifts from Diane VonFurstenburg, loungewear from Juicy Couture, separates by Elie Tahari, mother-of-the-bride suits by Armani, occasion dresses from Kay Unger, and all sorts of goodies from Alice and Olivia, Trina Turk, Theory, Robert Rodriguez and Nanette Lepore. Not to mention….shoes from Loeffler Randall, D&G, Tori Burch, Cole Haan, Moschino, Michael Kors, Bolo, Ashley Deerborn, Guiseppe Zanotti, London Sole, Martinez Valero, Rafe, Dolce Vita and MANY more great brands.

Chic Find: Not (quite) your Daddy’s Shirt?!
Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 by RozNot (quite) your Daddy’s Shirt?!
Here’s an update on Claridge and King’s allready infamous His Is Hers Oxford Shirt………..
I know that this affordably luxurious item from Paper City Features Editor, Laurann Claridge and her sis, Liz debuted a couple of months ago and the style-setters have been fast to order one for their very own. However, if, like me, you have been too busy and haven’t purchased yet or have just ONE and want to buy MORE(maybe for some of your closest gal friends that you know want to look sexy in their very own men’s dress shirt)……….a great holiday gift?!!
We’ve got some info here so that you can be in-the-know about these great tailored shirts……..
(Men’s shirt made even better for Women)
**It’s made of 100% Cotton, so soft…….plus, it gets better with wear.
**Has Mother-of-Pearl Button closures.
**Extended tail……to cover that area we so delicately want to conceal.
**Colors…….White or Blue for now; but Blush, the softest Pink, is coming…….just in time for Valentine’s Day…….and…….no hue flatters a woman’s complexion like Blush!
**Gray & White Striped Pillowcase……..packaging that’s great for travel and adds value if it’s a gift.
So……I’m ready to go out and get that perfect shirt that I can live in, play in………and even sleep in! I believe that you can never have too many White Shirts and this cozy take on a classic from Claridge and King will make a great addition to my wardrobe!!!
Gotta have it now, so where you get it here in town?…………………….TOOTSIES, LONGORIA COLLECTION, ELAINE TURNER,
Rice Village Store and of course, don’t miss a visit towww.claridgeandking.com for much, much more!
Traveling to NYC?…………………………………………………………………….TAKASHIMAYA(one of my favorite Big Apple shopping
havens, a treat in itself)………..or
L.A. bound?………………………………………………………………………………FRED SEGAL(another fave of mine) in Santa Monica,
will have them soon!
