What a treat for me. I recently was able to catch up with David Peck and spend some chat time as he was one of the Host Designers at the recent WOW Event benefiting Dress for Success at TOOTSIES. David has become rather quickly one of Houston’s proudest new sons and was showing his latest designs, some of the best dresses I’ve seen in awhile. This talented, well-traveled and studied fashion guy has been fun to watch grow and grow rather quickly. I’ve seen him at local markets, he now has a strong presence in TOOTSIES and 310 Rosemont and is definitely one of the new designers to watch that is on the move both in Houston and on the bigger national fashion scene! Ahh, the Good Life…who doesn’t think of fashion, food & wine and, of course, luxury cars, when you think of Italy?! This weekend all of you that are Italian and the others that just wish they were, can experience all that is the best of Italian culture including art, entertainment and tourism at the 3rd Annual Italian American Expo.

A Great FIND is Back in Town

THE FIND Fashion Market, created by local trend spotter, Chelsea Dryer, provides the local fashion scene with a unique shopping experience. Made up of a selected group of talented, emerging designers who will be selling their jewelry, handbag, shoe, and ready-to-wear collections. This concept was conceived a couple of years ago by Chelsea and is back after a short hiatus. I personally have attended all, as I found it to be a great laboratory of fashion newcomers, some from the local scene but many imports that offered awesome creative designs not seen anywhere else, which is all part of Ms. Dryer’s master plan!
